Gold was awarded to the plants in Kiel, Buxtehude, Glinde, Hamburg, Neumünster, Elmshorn and Jarplund. In December already, six Cemex concrfete plants in southern Germany and the Volkstorf plant of Manzke Beton GmbH successfully passed the certification process.
While 94 plants in Germany are now CSC-certified, the public awareness of the certificate is growing. For instance, the CSC was recently included in the new edition of the brochure "Environmental Information for Products and Services". The brochure is published by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and the Federation of German Industries (BDI).
In response to growing awareness and increasing enquiries from building owners, Bundesverband Transportbeton (BTB), the Regional System Operator of the CSC in Germany, has now set up a location map of the certified plants on the German CSC website.
