Newsletter Concrete Sustainability Council - September 2020
Dear ,
We hope that you have enjoyed the summer break.
At the CSC we used this period to continue enhancing the CSC certification system. The Aggregate scheme was complemented by a dedicated scheme for Aggregate Crusher Plants which supply their raw materials from other sources than an own quarry or pit.
We continued our dialogue with the British Research Establishment BRE and successfully achieved BREEAM recognition at score level 7 for the newly opened, very challenging CSC certification level “Platinum”. Score level 7 corresponds to the same level of recognition as achieved by “FSC 100%” certified wood.
Most recently, we were able to welcome – in Germany – the first two CSC R-Module certificates for recycling concrete (see article below). The R-Module certificate was implemented in June this year. It applies to concrete deliveries with recycled aggregate content and is available for companies who have obtained or are obtaining a CSC certificate at the level silver or higher.
We hope you will enjoy this newsletter and – as always – we like to invite you to visit our homepage at https://www.concretesustainabilitycouncil.com/ for further information.
Yours,
Christian Artelt Michael Scharpf
