March and April came up with good news for the Concrete Sustainability Council. Amongst the most important news items are:

• The Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA) decided to join the CSC and will support the only world-wide industry specific system, which certifies the sustainability performance of concrete plants and their supply chain across the globe

• The recognition of the new CSC Version 2.0 by DGNB as the leading German certification system for sustainable construction

• The release of the CSC’s Annual Report 2017/2018

• The acceleration of the successful roll-out of CSC certification – now reaching around 180 certifications world-wide and exceeding the mark of 50 in Germany, the latter largely driven by the remarkable number of new certifications with excellent scores realized by Holcim Germany

• Supported by the Sustainable Buildings and Construction Programme of the One Planet network, the Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) is continuing its project that aims at empowering small and medium-sized concrete producers in Latin America
